Veteran Polish game developer Maciek Miąsik has joined Vavel as the General Manager of Vavel’s Warsaw Studio. Maciek is well known for heading the development of the first Witcher game and his continued support of the Polish development community and game development educational tracks. As General Manager of Vavel Warsaw, Maciek will be assembling an all-star team of European developers to head-up development on original Vavel properties.
As a result of initial successful funding efforts, Vavel has acquired an in-development mobile game. After rebranding the game to American Zombies, Vavel has assumed core development of the game in the Unity engine with an anticipated release of late 2016.
Vavel has entered into a partnership with VR development company Vrizzmo. Vrizzmo, a developer of Mobile VR headsets, and Vavel are exploring opportunities to create VR-ready games for the next generation of VR gamers.
